My name is Danielle and I am one of the creators of the Stomaspan. I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 1984 before much was known about Crohn's. My worst fear had always been that some day I would require an ostomy.
In November of 2016 I had "the surgery". It has changed my life for the better. I named my stoma "Squirty McSquirtens" and she is now one of my best friends; she saved my life. My Stomaspan is my favorite accessory because it alleviates pressure on my stoma while wearing a seatbelt. If you are reading this you must have a stoma or know someone who does. If you use our Stomaspan the next time you are faced with the discomfort of a seatbelt it could become your go to portable accessory as well!

YES! This proved to be one of the most valuable pieces of medical equipment we found after our family member had to deal with an ileostomy. Not only does the StomaSpan protect the stoma, it allows room for the bag to expand. It's comfortable, and easy to use and store. We were so impressed, and have shared our experience with the Wound Care department at the hospital, and the staff on the surgical ward. We learned of it ourselves through online searches for medical supplies that would help us cope with the many life changes in dealing with a stoma, and the StomaSpan is on the top of our list for "best" support equipment available.
